Según fuentes cercanas a Esportmaníacos, el club Team Heretics competiría en la primera división de Superliga en la próxima temporada tras absorber a Cream Esports.
Team Heretics empezó a buscar plaza hace varios meses para competir en la Superliga. Su objetivo era comprar las que se pusieron a la venta o dialogando con distintos equipos con intención de formar una alianza. Finalmente, un ansiado acuerdo se habría llevado a cabo.
Team Heretics absorberá el club Cream Esports, propietario de la plaza de Superliga, que la adquirió a mediados de 2020 de x6tence después de que Giants comprara el club alicantino.
El club Cream ha estado compitiendo en Superliga bajo la marca «Cream Real Betis», ya que la organización de deportes electrónicos llegó a un acuerdo de explotación de marca con el Real Betis Balompié. Obviamente, ambos separan sus caminos, por lo que no tendremos ni al Betis ni a BTS el próximo año.
De esta forma, Team Heretics sería la marca que competiría en Superliga en 2022 y volvería a League of Legends desde que se separó de G2 Esports en diciembre de 2019. El acuerdo está aprobado desde ambos clubes, e incluso desde la organización ya se ofrecen como «proyecto Heretics».
Sin embargo, el sí a que la marca de Heretics esté en 2022 en la competición todavía no está dado por parte de LVP y Riot Games, aunque se espera que no haya mucho problema al respecto.
